MOSCOW, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Nord Stream pipeline string that remained intact after the explosion can be put into operation at any time, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Friday.

Peskov noted that the sabotaged Nord Stream pipelines can be repaired, though "in their current damaged state, they are gradually becoming inoperable." He added that Germany's economy continues to suffer in the aftermath of the Nord Stream pipeline blasts.

"Does Germany's economy continue to suffer because this pipeline string is not operational? Again, the answer is obvious to everyone: It does," he said.

He also said, "Turkish Stream is operating at full capacity. Blue Stream is operating at full capacity."

U.S. President Donald Trump previously said that Türkiye would stop purchasing Russian oil. Trump held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Washington on Thursday.

On Sept. 26, 2022, three lines of Nord Stream 1 and the yet-to-be-launched Nord Stream 2 were damaged in what appeared to be deliberate sabotage. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow has no doubt that the pipelines were sabotaged with U.S. support. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office subsequently opened a case into an act of international terrorism. ■
