JAKARTA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia recorded potential transactions worth up to 70.2 million U.S. dollars during the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) held in Nanning, China, according to the Ministry of Trade on Friday.

Indonesia also signed nine strategic memoranda of understanding covering trade, investment, education, halal certification, and the development of artificial intelligence technology.

"The potential transactions, including the signing of nine strategic MoUs, show that Indonesian products are becoming increasingly competitive and have great potential to penetrate the Chinese and ASEAN markets. We hope that the results of CAEXPO 2025 will serve as a driver for increasing national exports, investment, and cooperation in technological innovation," said Fajarini Puntodewi, director general of National Export Development at the ministry.

Indonesia's participation was supported by three main pavilions showcasing key commodity products, regional economic potential, and artificial intelligence innovations from domestic tech companies.

The most in-demand products included coal, palm oil, edible bird nests, coconut charcoal, and coffee, while retail sales at the Commodity Pavilion reached 182,000 U.S. dollars. ■
