BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Third seed Alex de Minaur of Australia eased into the second round of the China Open with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over China's Bu Yunchaokete on Friday at the Diamond Court of the National Tennis Center.

De Minaur seized the opening set after an early break in the fifth game. The world No. 8 held firm under pressure in the 10th, blasting an ace at 30-all and drawing an error from Bu on set point to close it out 6-4.

The 26-year-old Australian raised his level in the second set, racing through six straight games to seal the win. De Minaur fired 10 aces in total, double that of Bu, and faced only one break point throughout the match, which he successfully saved.

The clash marked their third meeting of the year, with De Minaur also winning their encounters in Miami and Washington. Bu, 23, is currently ranked world No. 89 and is the highest-ranked Chinese man in singles.

De Minaur has enjoyed a strong season, lifting the title at the Washington Open and reaching the quarterfinals at the US Open. ■
